G.A.T.E. Summer Challenge 4th-6th graders

 

Accelerated math for young math enthusiasts looking to explore concepts and topics not found in regular school curriculum. Kids will engage in challenging and fun problem-solving situations that will get them excited about the beauty of math.

 

We'll explore questions like:

How far could you walk in 1 million strides?

How easy is it to spend one trillion dollars?

How do you make a cube with one loop of yarn and 4 kids?

Why are no two snowflakes alike?

Why isn't it possible to fold a piece of paper in half no more than 10 times?

How can you walk through an 8 ½ x 11” piece of paper?

How can you guess not one, but five persons' chosen playing cards all at the same time?

How do you use 4 fours to create mathematical expressions to equal the numbers 1 - 100?
